Meet the Staff


Almir Marroni – Director

Almir was born in Brazil to a third-generation Adventist family. After finishing his studies in Theology at Brazil Adventist University he has served the church for more than 35 years, 30 of which as Publishing Department director at conference, union, division levels and now at the General Conference.

Prior coming to the General Conference he served as South American Division vice president for four years. He is married to Wiliane Marroni and they have two daughters, two sons-in-law, and one grandson.                                                                          Almir’s passion is inspiring young people to accept                                                                    God’s call to mission.

 


Wilmar Hirle – Associate Director

Pastor Wilmar Hirle was born and raised in Brazil where he began his career as a literature evangelist.  Since then, he has served as the director of conference, union, and division publishing ministries department.

In October 2006, Pr. Hirle was asked to come to the General Conference Headquarters to serve as the Associate Publishing Director the world church.  Pastor Hirle and his wife Cleni, have a son and daughter, a son-in-law and two beautiful granddaughters.

 


Stephen Apola – Associate Director

Stephen grew up in the coastal town of Mombasa, Kenya.  After resisting a call to ministry, he eventually switched from Management to Theology during his undergraduate studies at the University of Eastern Africa in Baraton. This is where he discovered Literature ministry.

He has served as a district pastor, conference and union Publishing department director in Kenya. Prior to joining the GC team, he pastored in Indiana Conference as he completed his MA in Communication at Andrews University.  His passion is helping people                                                                understand the character and love of God.

He has 20 years of experience in ministry with over 14 in Publishing. Stephen is married to Peris and they are blessed with four children.
